What is InfoPath?
How can I get InfoPath?

Rapid Application Development without Coding

Formotus mobile business forms are a platform for rapid mobile app development using Microsoft Office InfoPath.  Our mobile forms are created using InfoPath Designer, a knowledge-worker tool that requires no programming skills. This means your custom mobile business solution can be up and running in a matter of days.  Making modifications and pushing updates is a snap.

Mobile InfoPath and More

InfoPath is a mature product with many advanced features that Formotus supports, including table-based form layout, repeating sections and tables for expandable forms, controls for easy data input, complex rules for business logic, and flexible backend data connections.  Formotus extends the capabilities of InfoPath with mobile application management features and device-centric controls for capturing photos, signatures, diagrams and GPS locations.

Forms that Work Offline, Connect Online

It is possible to serve up InfoPath forms in a browser using SharePoint 2010 and InfoPath Forms Services. This is an appealing idea except, like all browser-based mobile solutions, it depends on a constant and reliable data connection to the device. The Formotus client is optimized for occasionally-connected devices, so mobile workers are fully productive even when they are not connected. (The only thing they can’t do offline is query for fresh online data, but they can use cached data from a previous query.)

When online, Formotus forms support all kinds of data connections including built-in SharePoint support and standard Web service connections (SOAP/REST) to any backend system you want. Like InfoPath, Formotus uses standards-based XML data, so there is no proprietary data format involved.

Design Once, Deploy Anywhere Across Platforms

Our rich native client software installs on all the best mobile devices, enabling everyone to use the same business forms. This means the same custom mobile application that runs on iPads will also run on Android tablets. If a hot new platform proves popular and we create a client for it, today’s solution will even work on tomorrow’s devices.
